LILO tutorial

While complete, it dates back to sometime in the last century. I realize
that the HOWTO was updated (slightly, I think) back in 2010, but IIRC,
LILO still uses clear text passwords....

For realz? This was a job test for Portland's top three recruitment
firms? Cool!

On a related issue, the company that I joined a few months back
(ForgeRock) is doing more hiring.

What is the protocol for posting such jobs?

Thinkpad DVD drive failure, maybe

It might be worth trying a new DVD drive. If this Amazon listing is to
be believed, ref

new OEM drive is $32.

Otherwise, I might go for a new laptop, or perhaps a refurb T410.
