GNOME3 Frustrations
November 14, 2011 Author
GNOME3 was recently shipped with major GNU/Linux desktop releases. GNOME3[1] is an effort to make GNOME desktop environment to be more elegant and easy to use to compete with KDE[2] and Unity[3] desktop environments. The changes are good but it is always not immediately embraced by users.
Recently, we noticed a spike on mentby.com‘s stream of popular topics regarding users’ frustrations[4] about GNOME3. Even Linus Torvalds is not a fan[5] (yet). Linus is usually used as a metric to measure the desktop’s environment success if he is going to embrace it.
So, the next logical step for these frustrated desktop environment users is to buy a Mac?
